When I started this project in June 2024, I knew it would be challenging, but I didn’t fully grasp just how much I’d need to learn. Beyond the creative aspects—like selecting poems, crafting musical arrangements, and working with AI—I’ve had to dive into the world of web development, servers, and hosting. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VPS setups, forum management, and more have become part of my daily vocabulary. It’s been a humbling experience, and while I’m proud of how far V2Melody has come, I know there’s always room for improvement.
As a retired English teacher and a self-taught tech enthusiast, I can truly say I’m an old dog who’s been forced to learn new tricks. And since I’m my own teacher, I can only blame myself for any shortcomings! But every challenge has been worth it to see V2Melody grow and to share my love of poetry and music with all of you.
That brings me to my next point: if you encounter anything on the site that doesn’t work quite as it should, I sincerely apologize. Building and maintaining a website like this is a continuous process, and I’m doing my best to ensure everything runs smoothly. If you do come across any issues, please don’t hesitate to let me know here in the forum. Your feedback is invaluable, and I’ll do my best to address any problems as quickly as possible.
V2Melody is a passion project, born out of my love for poetry, music, and the belief that technology can make these art forms more accessible and meaningful. It’s not about money, fame, or recognition—it’s about creating something that resonates with people and brings poetry to life in a new way.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Your support and understanding mean the world, and I’m excited to continue improving and expanding V2Melody with your help.
Warm regards,
Richard
