Reconstruct the poem by dragging each line into its correct position. You can also use the up (↑) and down (↓) arrows to move a line one place at a time, or the top (⇑) and bottom (⇓) arrows to move a line directly to the top or bottom. Your goal is to reassemble the original poem as accurately as possible. As you move the lines, you'll see whether your arrangement is correct, helping you explore the poem's flow and meaning. You can also print out the jumbled poem to cut up and reassemble in the classroom. Either way, take your time, enjoy the process, and discover how the poet's words come together to create something truly beautiful.

Family dinners, chair left empty
Now it's too late for a spending spree
Forgot to cash in moments plenty
I count the cost of fortunes made
Nature's beauty, unseen by me
The true profit of life lies not in gains
I'd invest in joy, and not be a hedger
Invested all in golden dreams
Twenty-five thousand days, all we get
The richest aren't those who make the most
Left behind, no fortune beneath
Time's the true wealth we fail to see
Time's the true currency, spend it well
Six feet under, cold and still
Stories shared are wealth to tell
More precious than gold, our only asset
Chased those dollars with iron will
They're those who of much time could boast
In this vault of earth, one truth remains
Now death its final audit brings
If I could again balance life's ledger
From the silence of my grave
Wealth I hoarded, now bequeathed
A lifetime chasing shiny things
