Every 10th word

Eighteen years, at my desk every day,
Kept the turning, in my own little way.
Boss was a bluetit, oh so sweet and mild,
But sometimes she turned a vulture wild.

Handled angry parents, dealt with all mess,
From toddlers to teens, gave it my best.
the money, keeping books tight,
Cleaning up sick, late the night.

Redundancy's here, and I feel so free,
weight off my shoulders, no more anxiety.
Got my by my side, he's my rock and my guide,
his love, I know I'll decide.

I saw it coming, wasn't a surprise,
Redundancy payment, oh, what a prize.
I’ve got time, summer's calling my name,
Gonna find passion, new role, new game.

Dealt with the chaos, through the strife,
Gave it my all, in that life.
Now it's my turn, to choose my own way,
A bright new future, starting today.

The school's behind me, memories remain,
But now I've got sunshine, instead of rain.
No more Jekyll and Hyde, no more screeching calls,
Just me and my dreams, breaking down walls.

So here’s to freedom, to new days ahead,
To passions ignited, more dread.
With love and support, I’ll find my way,
A bright new chapter, starting today.
