A Country Burial

by Emily Dickinson

Ample make this bed.
Make this bed with awe;
In it wait till judgment break
Excellent and fair.

Be its mattress straight,
Be its pillow round;
Let no sunrise' yellow noise
Interrupt this ground.

Time-Bomb

by Mina Loy

The   present   moment
is   an   explosion ,
a   scission
of   past   and   future

leaving
those   valorous   disreputables ,
the   ruins ,

sentinels
in   an   unknown   dawn
strewn   with   prophecy .

Only   the   momentary
goggle   of   death
fixes   the     fugitive
momentum .
