Two Young for Love

by Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.

Too young for love?
Ah, say not so!
Tell reddening rose-buds not to blow
Wait not for spring to pass away,—
Love's summer months begin with May!
Too young for love?
Ah, say not so!
Too young? Too young?
Ah, no! no! no!

Too young for love?
Ah, say not so,
To practise all love learned in May.
June soon will come with lengthened day
While daisies bloom and tulips glow!
Too young for love?
Ah, say not so!
Too young? Too young?
Ah, no! no! no!

La caseta de feria

by Manuel Machado

Sevilla —aire de luz y luz de aroma—
abre, en abril, como una flor radiante,
su corazón, sonoro y palpitante,
con un batir de alas de paloma.

Por dondequiera la Giralda asoma
—alfil soberbio—, alerta y elegante,
señaladora del divino instante
en que a la tierra el cielo en brazos toma.

Para gozar el mágico momento,
para morir un poco al cotidiano
pesar y realizar la maravilla

de suspender el triste pensamiento,
tener es fuerza el lujo soberano
de una caseta en Feria de Sevilla
