Each poem scrolls on its own, so the two texts stay beside each other.

Time-Bomb

by Mina Loy

The   present   moment
is   an   explosion ,
a   scission
of   past   and   future

leaving
those   valorous   disreputables ,
the   ruins ,

sentinels
in   an   unknown   dawn
strewn   with   prophecy .

Only   the   momentary
goggle   of   death
fixes   the     fugitive
momentum .

Apocalypse

by Emily Dickinson

I'm wife; I've finished that,
That other state;
I'm Czar, I'm woman now:
It's safer so.

How odd the girl's life looks
Behind this soft eclipse!
I think that earth seems so
To those in heaven now.

This being comfort, then
That other kind was pain;
But why compare?
I'm wife! stop there!
