Parfum is a concentrated fragrance intended to unfold slowly and remain close to the skin for many hours. In poetry, it can represent the version of an experience kept after everything incidental has evaporated: a final sentence, a sealed letter, or the warmth left in a chair. Its intimacy favors poems of residue and inheritance, where meaning is not announced loudly but continues to deepen through repeated, private returns.
