Bavarian Reinheitsgebot Adopted

What happened

Duke Wilhelm IV of Bavaria adopted the famous beer regulation later known as the Reinheitsgebot, limiting beer ingredients to water, barley, and hops. Yeast was not listed because its biological role was not yet understood.
