Słowacki writes Father Marek and Salomea's Silver Dream

What happened
In 1843, Słowacki wrote the dramas "Father Marek" and "Salomea's Silver Dream". He was then living and working within the Polish émigré world outside his homeland. These works belong to the later phase of his career, when his drama and poetry were becoming increasingly visionary and historically charged.
Literary impact
The two dramas demonstrate Słowacki's continuing development as a major Romantic dramatist. They helped extend his exploration of Polish history, spirituality and visionary experience through increasingly ambitious dramatic forms.
